The Winston-Salem Wolves began ECBL league play for 2024 at home on February 18 and secured a win against the SC Upstate Redhawks 141-116.
The Wolves, defending conference regular season champions, led throughout the game, which included a 14 point halftime lead following a last-second deep shot from guard Brandon Schlosser.
During the third quarter, the Wolves saw their lead dwindle to just two points as the Redhawks stormed back – however, the comeback was short lived as the Wolves deep shooting was too much for the Redhawks to overcome and Winston-Salem pulled away again in the fourth, building a double-digit lead that they never relinquished.
The win moves the Wolves to 1-0 on the season and is a great start in an attempt to make another run to the playoffs and conference title.
Home games for the Wolves are broadcast live on Tobacco Sports Radio and select AM/FM outlets.
The Wolves travel to Salisbury on February 24 to face the Rowan County Bulls.
